Planted 2026

Planted: Why Our Church Has a Word for 2026

Every year we put a word at the front of the year—not to be cute, not to refresh graphics, but because a word sets faithand creates unity. Scripture says, “Write the vision; make it plain… so he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2). A clear word gives a clear focus.

In 2025, our word was Significance—and we intentionally chased what carries eternal weight. We saw God move through generosity, healing, prophetic ministry, and fresh hunger for the supernatural. It was a significant year. But for 2026, the Lord has given us a different word:

Planted.

Our Anchor Text: Psalm 92:12–15

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree… Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God… They shall still bear fruit in old age… to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock…” (Psalm 92:12–15, NKJV)

Did you catch how many times it says shall? This isn’t wishful thinking. This is covenant language. God isn’t offering a “maybe.” He’s giving a promise: If you’ll focus on being planted, God will handle the fruit. That’s why we’re not calling 2026 the year of “flourish.” Flourish is God’s job. Planted is ours. Paul said it like this: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6). Our responsibility is faithfulness—His responsibility is increase.

Planted People Flourish in Every Season

Being planted doesn’t mean you’re planted in people, politics, or a building. It means you’re planted in the house of the Lord—in His Word, His presence, and His purpose. That kind of planting produces stability when other people fall apart.

Jeremiah 17:7–8 describes it: the one who trusts the Lord is like a tree planted by water—when heat comes, they don’t panic; in drought, they don’t wither. Their roots run deeper than the weather. That’s what we’re believing for 2026: not a year of drifting, not a year of being half-in/half-out, not a year of excuses. A year of staying power.

Flourishing Without Roots Doesn’t Last

Our culture celebrates fast growth—but flourishing without planting is fragile. We’ve all seen it: people who “win big” quickly and then crash hard because there was never a foundation. I’ve even watched churches explode in growth and then disappear because they were flourishing, but not planted.

Could it be that God has allowed slow, steady growth in our house so our roots would go deep—so that when the increase comes, we can sustain it?

Here’s a simple truth: A seed can be fully planted long before you see anything above the soil.

You may be further along than you realize.

Six Ways to Stay Planted in 2026

Here’s what it looks like practically:

  1. Daily personal devotionDon’t read just to finish—read until you connect. When a verse “jumps off the page,” stop and sit with God there.

  2. Be planted in your churchIf God has called you here, show up with consistency. Sundays aren’t just attendance—they’re alignment.

  3. Be planted in communityReal discipleship happens life-on-life. We grow best when someone knows our story and can ask, “How’s it going?”

  4. ServeGod didn’t plant you just to warm a seat. You’re here because you carry something this house needs.

  5. Give obedientlyWhere your treasure is, your heart follows (Matthew 6:21). Planting your finances in God’s house is an act of worship—and it builds spiritual connection.

  6. Submit to godly leadershipDon’t do life alone. Being planted includes healthy authority, accountability, and wise voices that keep you steady.

Stay Planted—God Will Bring the Fruit

If you’re frustrated because you haven’t seen fruit yet, remember this: you don’t hear a tree growing. You don’t see it change hour by hour. Growth is quiet—but it’s real. Some fruit takes time. Some promises take seasons. But the Word of God never fails. So in 2026, we’re choosing to be planted—rooted in His Word, grounded in His presence, committed to His house, and faithful in every season.

2026 is not the year we chase fruit. It’s the year we stay planted—and watch God flourish our lives.
