What is Royal Rangers?
Royal Rangers at The Gathering is an activity-based, small-group ministry for boys and young men in grades 3–8, designed to help them grow into Christlike men and servant leaders. Through hands-on learning, strong mentorship, and intentional discipleship, boys develop biblical character, leadership skills, and a genuine love for God. The program is fun, highly relational, and affirms the way boys learn best, while remaining grounded in God’s Word and led by the Holy Spirit. Royal Rangers fits seamlessly into the discipleship culture of The Gathering, connecting with children, youth, and adult ministries to create a multigenerational faith community. Men at The Gathering are equipped to model Christlike manhood as they walk alongside boys on a Bible-based, Spirit-empowered journey of faith.
2026 North Texas District Pow-Wow
Join us for the NTX Royal Rangers 2026 Pow-Wow, taking place from April 24-26, 2026! This year’s gathering is a Patriotic Celebration of America's 250th Birthday and Texas' 180th Birthday, filled with inspiration, fellowship, and fun. We're excited to welcome our special guest speaker, Pastor Tom Saali, the Tyler Section Presbyter. Pastor Saali is a dynamic preacher and visionary leader, known for his authentic love for God and people. He is committed to being in tune with the Holy Spirit and is sure to bring a powerful message that will resonate with all of us.
Throughout the weekend, participants can look forward to a variety of games, activities, and competitions that will foster teamwork, fun, and a sense of community. Whether you're enjoying the thrilling contests or reflecting on the meaningful messages, there's something for everyone at this unforgettable event.
National Camporama is an event conducted once every four years by the National Royal Rangers Ministry at the national Royal Rangers campground at Camp Eagle Rock, Missouri. Royal Rangers groups from all across the country gather for a week of camping, fun activities, team competitions, and engaging evening services, all designed just for guys. Boys and leaders attend as a group with their outpost. Each outpost is responsible for bringing their own camping gear but all meals are provided.
Each day begins with an assembly where all outposts from a given region gather together for a brief time of announcements, prayer, and a devotional message. Once concluded, the day's activities begin and continue until the evening meal. Each day will conclude with an exciting evening rally with contemporary worship, family-friendly comedy, and challenging messages by nationally-known guest speakers.
The camp will open at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 12, and will will officially conclude on Friday, July 17, with most outposts typically being gone by noon.
The Seven Experiences
1 | CONNECT WITH A COMMUNITY OF CHRISTLIKE MEN
Boys and men build relationships side by side as they do activities together. Regular, consistent interaction between boys and men is key.
2 | DO FUN THINGS TOGETHER
Boys want to participate in a variety of activities, and the Royal Rangers ministry features a vast collection of resources to support their interests. Leaders are encouraged to plan a wide range of activities to appeal to a broad spectrum of boys.
3 | GROW IN CHRISTLIKE MANHOOD
The Royal Rangers program provides boys with a picture of Christlike manhood and process for pursuing it, a lifelong effort that requires endurance, patience, and persistence.
4 | LEARN IN INTERACTIVE WAYS
The Royal Rangers advancement system is an outcome-based discipleship journey. Boys and young men are encouraged to earn special recognition in each group, quarterly and annually. The system intentionally connects the Royal Rangers discipleship process to the boys’ journey to manhood—adventure, character and task.
5 | BELONG TO SOMETHING BIG
Boys and young men want to feel as though they are part of a winning team or program. Attire contributes to a sense of belonging, to a sense of being part of something bigger than self.
6 | LEAD YOURSELF AND OTHERS
The Royal Rangers program provides boys and young men with opportunities to learn and practice leadership skills that will help make their God-given dreams a reality.
7 | SERVE GOD, YOUR FAMILY, CHURCH, AND COMMUNITY
The Royal Rangers program encourages and provides tools for boys to make a difference in the world around them.
